My graphics card died on Sunday night; if only that was my only misfortune, I would have been happy. So, I go to a store ( e-shop, for those who live in Greece) and order a new one. It promptly arrives on Tuesday night, but there is one technical problem...
Instead of the pretty much standard 9 inch (23 cm) length that most gfx cards have, this one was 11 inches (28 cm) long... and I could not fit it in my chassis.
Now, you see, in the product description the dimensions weren't written anywhere; neither did they have any warnings of the "HUGE E-PENIS CARD-WARNING: MIGHT NOT FIT CHASSIS" variety. Misleading? Yes. Irresponsible? Perhaps. Careless? I would say so.
Which leads me to taking the card back on Wednesday morning to explain the situation and ask them politely if they can take the card back, so that I can take another. Of course, they didn't, because the box "was dented". Uhm, hello, I bloody opened the damn thing, sorry if I wasn't using surgical procedures and scratched it on the lid. The worst part however was not that they didn't take the card back, it was the fact that I got the impression they treated me like trash.
Excuse me mister, I am not a piece of dust in your shirt, or some slime in your shoe lace. I am a bloody customer - you know, the kind that helps pay your salaries every month - and I really don't demand much. I just want you to PRETEND that you respect me and not treat me like an animal. See, pretending to respect a customer can't be that bad- they are supposed to be trained to recite fairy tales and silky ribbons to their cattle - I mean, customers.
It's not much I am asking, is it? So, I had to order yet another graphics card... Which I installed today. From the same shop, because the alternative was worse. And the clerks even had the audacity to ask me if I was going to sell the other card on the internet- whoah there pal! Suddenly you are interested? Bloody hell, go get lost for all I care.
I don't think they will be seeing me again if I can help it.
But really... I am not asking for much... Am I?

If my heart were a sponge it would be filled with joyous thoughts and dreams from people from around the world.
If my heart were a rock it would protect those who have trusted me with their thought until the day I died.
I my thoughts could see past these thoughts of being a simple heart or sponge, I could see that my thoughts are true.
If my thoughts are true and my beliefs are, and I am like a heart and a sponge, i mean that I learn and understand more each day.
If I mean more each day; it would mean that those who have shown me the ways of my heart; and the likeness to a sponge are similar to that of a rock
If I am a rock then I must protect all which has been placed within it day by day, from being broken like a stone, and to grow more like a heart.
If you can understand as to your station either a heart, a rock, or a sponge, you will see how you need to grow.
If you can’t understand this. You need to seek help from someone who loves you like a rock, feels you like a heart and shows what it is to become a sponge.
A sponge teaches the rock to see the heart within.
The heart teaches us how to see how porous the rock may be.
The person shows us how to bring these things together, to show us compassion, love, truth, and most of all the feeling that lies within us all, and to become a greater part of each.
